Summer is in full swing here. We've had the rainiest summer most can remember. Storms come and go quickly, leaving us with cooler temps, vibrant greens, and lots of wild flowers, berries and critters running around. No fun foreign adventures for me this time; I've just been living up the local life and loving it!

*8/10, 8/17 (last one!) 7-9 PM - Snowmass Rodeo - Gates open at 5:00 p.m. for Family Activities, BBQ, Cash Bar & Shopping.
*8/11, 8/18, 8/26 - 6:30-8:30pm - FREE Thursday Night Concerts in Snowmass
* Carbondale Rodeo. Gate opens at 5:30pm

Finding the perfect summer camp for my kids used to be quite overwhelming. There are so many to choose from and so many places to go. This year it was easy. My girls LOVE the Farm Collaborative at Cozy Point Ranch in Snowmass. It's a day camp & by the week.

Length: 6.4 miles round trip
Beginning Elevation: 9,400 feet Ending Elevation: 11,365 feet
ACCESS: Turn right onto Castle Creek Road. Drive 10 miles to the Elk Mountain Lodge and turn
right into the American Lake parking lot where the trail begins.

We have seen the markets soften a bit.
Sellers are coming back down to earth, slightly. Still more buyers than inventory, and affordable long-term rentals are ever-incredibly hard to find. A mortgage could be cheaper than rent - even with "high" interest rates.
Buying my house here 9 years ago was the best decision I've ever made...
