United Airlines - ASE - SFO - PPT
Air Tahiti Nui - ASE - LAX - PPT Flight time ~ 8 hours
- Time - We went in early June and had perfect weather.
- 7 days would an ideal amount of time, but 4 days/3nights was better than nothing!
- Getting around - Taxis are plentiful and metered. We easily found taxi buses that fit all 7 of us. Taxis were cheaper than renting a car & way less stress.
- The Pape'ete Ferry Terminal is about 10 min away from PPT airport and a $25 taxi fare. We took the Aremiti Ferry over to Mo'orea island. Tickets were $10 and ride was 30 min.
- Mo'orea Island - undeniably one of the most beautiful places on the planet and well worth the 30 minute ferry trip.

- Food: has a french flare with an island twist. Great fish & French wines.
- Pro Tip: Bring your own snorkel and fins especially the kiddos. Tours did not include gear especially kid size.
- Lodging - Nights 1 & 2. We asked a local fruit stand owner for recommendations. She advised us to post on facebook which lead us to stay at Hotel Kaveka, located on Cook's Bay, Mo'orea.
- The kids loved jumping off the dock and snorkeling along the reef. I loved the homely feel of this family friendly spot & would 100% stay again.

- Night 3 we decided to stay at the Sofitel Kia Ora Moorea Beach Resort. We did the overwater bungalow experience and received 5 star treatment!
- I thought the coral reef was much better on this side of the island. All I wanted to do was snorkel. The resort provided free snorkels, SUPs, kayaks.
- The kids loved the pool.
- Good food and friendly service.
- Activities - snorkeling, scuba diving, pretty much all things water, 4x4 jungle, boat rides, fishing, bbqs
Māuruuru - means Thank you
